Welcome to the Fundraising page of
I'm participating in Grind for Kids in support of BC Children's Hospital. Medical staff treated more than 78,000 children last year at BC Children's Hospital, the only hospital in BC devoted exclusively to children. As a child, I was a regular patient at this hospital with severe asthma. There were times I spent days in the hospital including once slipping into code blue and needing resuscitation. Without BCCH's incredible doctors and high standard of care, I would not have been able to enjoy the quality of life I have today.
My goal is to raise funds for the Hospital by completing the Grouse Grind at least 16 consecutive times in a 24 hour time period, which will set a new record for the number of Grinds done in a day. It will involve a hiking a horizontal distance greater than a marathon (46.4km) in addition to an elevation gain of 13,648m. To put this in perspective, the elevation gain required to break the record would be like climbing Mt. Everest over one and a half times in a single day.
If you are able to, please donate whatever you can to my fundraising page or directly to BC Children's hospital ( http://www.bcchf.ca/donate/ ). And please spread the word!
Thank you for your support!!
