Welcome to the Fundraising page of
Kids 'Can' Help

Even though we are kids, we can make a difference!

Welcome to the Kids 'Can' Help event page. The Kids Can Help program is a team of kids called the 'Kids Can Help Team', and includes a mascot called 'Can Man'. It is  a program where kids can help kids. We have regular meetings and organize events to raise money for the Oncology Deptartment at the BC Children's Hospital.

Thank you from the Kids Can Help Team!

About Oncology at BC Children's Hospital

Childhood cancer is a rare disease. Every year, one child in 8,000 under the age of 17 will develop cancer. There are about 130 new cases diagnosed in children under age 17 each year in BC. Cancer-fighting interventions involve highly aggressive and toxic therapies, and often the treatments themselves inflict irreversible harm. Clinicians at BC Children's Hospital work to improve the lives of children with cancer, as do the researchers who are seeking better treatments and cures.

BC Children's Hospital is the province's only full-service acute care hospital and serves the one million children living in BC and the Yukon. It is the only pediatric hospital in our province for critically ill and injured children and the only pediatric teaching hospital in BC, providing highly specialized training to our medical professionals.

Thank you for supporting BC's kids!
