RBC Race for the Kids

At 24 years old, I was thrown into real adulthood when I found out I was pregnant, without intending to be. I immediately loved the little peanut I had growing inside me, but it was nothing compared to the moment I got to hold her, on the outside, on December 5, 2010.

At 10 months old, Lilee-Jean was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer with a less than 10% chance of survival.

After 2 years of battling the monster in her head, on September 6, 2013, Lilee-Jean Frances left our world at just 2 and a half years old, while snuggled in my loving arms.

Each year, with Team Love for Lilee, we run in her honour and raise money for Childhood Cancer Reseach, treatments and mental health initiatives at BC Children's Hospital.

Help us, in memory of my sweet Lilee Baby, fund research, because children have the right to live, and parents don't deserve to say goodbye.

Your action today - joining or donating to my RBC Race for the Kids team - is helping BC Children's Hospital to better understand childhood cancers and mental health conditions, allowing caregivers to better support BC kids. Thank you.
