In honor and dedication to the children, families, doctors, nurses and support staff of BC Children's Hospital

I have my personal experience accessing the services of BC Children's Hospital.

I lived at the hospital for a couple months with my grandson Tyr Justice Rene Bernard - October 06, 2011 - December 06, 2011 and more recently my family has been assisted by BC Children's Hospital in caring for Baby Benjamin Raymond Allan Parsons - October 30, 2016 - June 02, 2017.

Throughout my journey at BC Children's Hospital, I have been witness to the strength, and spirit of both the staff and families that are found throughout BC Children's Hospital, and been witness to the warrior spirit of the young patients and the tiny angels that have graced BC Children's hospital.

It is often a heart stopping moment, as you watch the young patients connected to tubes and wires, the murmuring of monitors, the beeps and muffled cries...

The strength and virtue is immeasureable of what these young charges and their families experience.

Heart stopping, stomach in your throat so to speak, a life or death situation with a glimmer of hope that you will pull through this procedure.

The courage to face something that can possibly be so catastrophic, not knowing if you are going to be going home...

Breathing deeply, trying to catch your last breath...

Holding your breath, in fear and anticipation...

I was witness to this and so much more at BC Children's Hospital and in dedication to those children, families, doctors, nurses and support staff I pledge to skydive with proceeds going to support BC Childrens Hospital.

Every element that makes BC Children's Hospital so important to BC's kids would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters and friends. From the tiniest toy that puts a smile on a youngster's face to the groundbreaking pediatric research that's helping to find better treatments and cures for many devastating childhood diseases, your donation helps ensure that the most precious members of our society - our children - receive the best possible care.

On behalf of all of us - patients, parents, staff, and volunteers - from BC Children's Hospital, thank you for your generosity and for caring for our children and their future.
