PCMA March 2nd Spring Fundraiser Concert

An evening of sublime chamber music performed by our distinguished faculty and outstanding PCMA students, with a portion of the net proceeds supporting BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

  • Date: Saturday March 2, 2019
  • Time: 6:30 Silent Auction; 7:00 Performance; 8:30 Reception
  • Location: Shaughnessy Heights United Church, 1550 33rd Ave W, Vancouver BC V6M 1A7 (SW corner of 33rd Ave & Granville)
  • Program: works by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Moszkowski, Dvorak & Chausson
  • Tickets: $30 adults, $20 students, $75 family

About Us

A non-profit organization, the Pacific Chamber Music Academy (PCMA) advocates the importance of 4C’s core values in chamber music: cultivation, collaboration, creativity and commitment, and provides opportunities for young musicians to experience the excitement of teamwork using their solo instruments. Dedicated to becoming a premier institution in the Pacific Northwest in honing the craft of teamwork and chamber music among gifted young musicians, PCMA pledges to promote musical and cultural exchange for young musicians globally.
 

Winter, Spring, and Fall Sessions
Promote development of ensemble skills and exploration of chamber music repertoire year-round 

  • Winter session: Jan 12 - Feb 18, 2019
  • Spring session Apr 6 - May 12, 2019
  • Fall session Oct 26 - Dec 1, 2019
  • Coachings will be arranged at a mutually convenient time between coaches and students
  • Schedule and venue: to be arranged at a mutually convenient time and location
  • Performance on final day at YVR International Airport

PCMA Summer Camp
Join other students to excel in our 3rd annual summer camp, a fun & inspiring environment!

  • Dates: July 2 - 7, 2019
  • Venue: VSO School of Music
  • Students will be learning 2 chamber works with 2 different ensembles during camp
  • Daily schedule includes ensemble rehearsals, coachings, workshop/group activities, masterclass, and chamber orchestra
  • Final gala concert, July 7, 2019 Pyatt Hall
